So, that M.A. is in Italy. We hate her ( not really, but just a little) . She asked me to go visit her cats while she was away. I think she thought that would be almost as good as going to Italy. Well she was wrong. MA has rowdy cats. Cute, but rowdy. Today, while humming in my head, "doh de doh doh doh" and looking for said rowdy cats I turned into the bathroom at Moss cottage to find this!!!
Dead_sqirrel

Oh the horror. Poor dead squirrel. I actually gasped and put one hand up to cover my mouth in shock when I found him. I couldn't find any ID on him, ( as he was wearing no pants) so I'll just call him Clark. Services were short and only M.A.'s one female cat attended. She did tell me a long story most of which I was too distracted to follow. Come to think of it, I may have judged the boys too quickly- A long time ago my father told me that squirrels don't fall out of trees, they have heart attacks. And really have you EVER seen a cat catch a squirrel? NO! So, Clark must have died of natural causes- oh and that would explain the bottle of nitro pills  clutched in his tiny rigid paw.  Sorry for judging your cats so quickly M.A. hope you are having fun on your Italian vacation- we are having super duper fun here in L.A.!!!

ha ha ha. I can just imagine. Boy, M A goes to Italy and leaves you with the dead squirrel. Somehow that seems ... wrong. Say hi to the cat posse for me.

That is awesome! What a good friend you are!

Have I ever told you the story of when a squirrel took a suicide dive from a tree right in front of me and a friend in the South Park Blocks of Portland, OR? Squirrel suicide.....not a pretty sight. This was no heart attack.

Dead Squirrels and Rowdy Cats...sounds like a good book title to me! Miss you, but love my little house and my art piece in my entryway.
Many hugs, your personal stalker...Heather smile)

Eeeh!! I hope he wasn't there long...with today's heat and all...ewwww...

When cats bring us presents why can't they bring us stuff we want like books and paper?
If they have to kill something why can't they go after roaches and the gross stuff?? Not cute furry stuff like mice and squirrels.

Were the cats high 5-ing each other when you left?

Tyn, you are hilarious! I love the drawing. Poor squirrel. I had one eat his way out of my art room and jump from a 2nd story window. Never saw the squirrel again but my room is a wreck and my windows are all chewed up.

I miss you and Kari from ArtFest! I miss M.A., too - nice of you to check on things for her while she's away.

great, now i have this (hilarious) image of clark stuck in my head, tonsils and all. :)
