This is me dancing- can you believe it was only one class. I know, neither can I. Really.
By the time I was supposed to go to class, I had come to my senses and re- thought this plan. I knew that humiliation was in my future and I wasn't sure I wanted a full plate of crow and annoyance for dinner. I swallowed hard and went. So did about 17 other people. We were all trying to be invisible, and not sweat ( yeah right) and not forget the steps AND follow the dang music. One guy even had the nerve to try and ask me a question while I was dancing. Can you believe it?!? That was way too hard and I think I answered "Estes Kefauver" and that shut him up. About now I am wondering what the question was.
Actually everyone was super nice, and friendly and just as freaked out as me, ( I think that made us sweat just a bit more). Our instructor Susannah, kept us distracted with her humor and presto, we were all dancing. Not necessarily well, but dancing, and smiling. I am happy to say that no injuries occurred and no falling. All in all a very successful evening. I enjoyed the experience so much more than I expected and I am looking forward to going back next week. I have to say, if you are on the fence about this one, jump in and do it. I am going to tango myself off to find some dinner now.
Sounds like you actually had a lot of fun, just goes to show the hardest part is getting out of your comfort zone. You should be really proud.

I'm so proud of you for following through! It would have been too easy to come up with an excuse and begged off -- but not you! YOU ROCK! I'm so glad that you had a good time. Aimee is right; it's all about stepping out of your comfort zone.
