I saw something like this in a magazine and had to play with the idea. This is the 2nd one that I have made, the first one is still being tweeked. I would love your comments though, I am thinking of posting some on etsy. I used a large serving spoon, made it flat, attached a mirror and surrounded it with freshwarter pearls. The pearls didn't show up very well but they are a beautiful tan/peachy color. I added paint to lay into the relief of the spoon. Let me know what you think- the good and the bad!! Now available at my esty shop.

Super great, love them! How did you flatten them?

What a stunningly great idea! This could be a fabulous unique signature item that could make many of. I would think that it would appeal to fans of Victorian and vintage style, hence I would limit your paint colours to natural hues...white, tan, brown, black...
Good luck :)
