Good news!! Regeneration, a local shop is going to be carrying my items! It's a great little place, with a really good feeling to it. Kelly the owner brings her dog to work. Love it. If you are local be sure to stop in, or check it out on-line. Wish me luck.

Gordon Bunny

GordonbunnyfrontThis is Gordon. He makes cheese. Lots and lots of cheese. He doesn't eat cheese, he's allergic. He just makes it. If you are interested in adopting Gordon, check him out in the "shop".

super cute

Natalie of  " life is collage" suggested a swap, and I was game for that!! This is what came in the mail yesterday for me. (YIPEE!!!!) She totally spoiled me, I wish my pics were better to show how great this all is.

NataliesnestNatalieswapHow cute is this? A little paper fairy under glass with a tiny nest and egg-a tube box with vintage ric-rac fringe,  my initial and a "t" page from a dictionary along with other beautiful decorative papers - a decorative "t" card and a slide mount "t" to hang. This girl has some crafting style. Thank you Natalie, I love it!!

PincushionI also followed Natalie's tutorial for making this super cute flower pincushion. I am hiding my wonky side, but with practice I'm sure I'll get it.

FinnThis is my friend Finn. I have known him since he was tiny, and didn't like people. Now he kisses my face. He actually was feral, now he is a big baby.  I do believe that in a previous post I confessed to  being the " crazy cat lady". Finn and his brother Monk are part of  the clan that makes me that lady. But I love 'em.

Not much crafting going on around here this week. First week back to work from vacation- I was tired, and then got food poisoning, so I didn't get a whole lot done. I have big plans for the weekend though. Gardening, painting, and crafting. I love being delusional. It is kind of like optimism don't you think?

All things pink

Lots of pink around here lately.
Laundryroom_1

I told you the laundry room was pink....

Pinkbunniespink bunnies I have been working on....l

PinkladiesPink ladies that have been poppin' up like crazy all over the yard.

I can bring home the bacon...

fry it up in a pan, and never ever let you forget your a man! That was the theme song while I tiled and grouted the shower. Thanks Tam for the song. I am very happy to say that my shower is done, and I just used it, and it was WONDERFUL. I like bathing outside- but I love hot water! I am happy to say that nothing came ungrouted or untiled and floated away.Tomorrow, back to scraping hot pink paint off the laundry room ceiling.
I did take a break today from all the fun we have around here and went to see a great little shop called Violets are Blue. Cute, Cute,Cute. Great place to find a little gift- I got myself one while I was there.  Carrie, the owner also keeps up a blog so ck. it out.

Lots of free fabric

The most creative Stephanie of little birds sent me the greatest fabric!!
I would never have found this stuff, I probably would have passed it over, and yet I find am so inspired by it. Sometimes it takes another eye to get out of rut. Thank You Stephanie!!!!
She also got me inspired to move along some fabric that I have had  sitting around. If you are interested, e-mail me- tyn33@hotmail.com.  I only ask that you pay the postage- $7.00 - thru paypal.  I have not measured any of these, some are pretty big, hopefully something will inspire you!
Freegreenthis first bundle is brown and greens.

Pinksfreefabricthis bundle is mauve and pink and brown- I know it looks purple, but it is not.

I hope that you find something inspiring in here!!

camping at home

I hope this doesn't fall into the category of too much information.... When Harry and I moved into this house, we said it was a lot like camping except indoors. The kitchen was all torn up, and to some extent still is. We didn't cook for months, didn't have a real kitchen sink for months. You get used to it- sadly. I have to admit, it is of my doing. Harry is never the one to take out a sink and counter.  Today, I have taken camping at home to a new level. Our "real " bathroom is behind a door that we NEVER open. There is too much to be done, and we are not ready yet. We use a teeny tiny bathroom downstairs that has a closet that someone converted into a shower. This room isn't even considered a bathroom by the tax assessor because it doesn't have a sink in it. See what I mean about camping? Well, our "shower" needed some work, I am painting and going to do some tiling while off work for a week. Fun eh? So, where to shower? You know it has been really hot in L.A. this summer, and well, our yard is pretty secluded.... Yup, the hose. Harry is holding out, I give him one more day. I feel bad for him, I am starting to like the showering outside thing. I might have to set up a summer shower for myself- something a  bit more civilized than the hose. Poor Harry.

For Denise

Nestforblog_1Denise, this is "Nest". Held outside once a month. Ally's card says, " cool junk.elegant knick-knacks." Very true.  Ally, the owner had little finches in a cage with her outside (I love finches) and her big ole' dog, Bosco, sleeping under-foot. Was he an Irish wolfhound? He sure was big. I loved this place, vintage type aprons and dish towels, little bird eggs in nests, bird salt and pepper shakers. Totally cute.
Go visit on Last Thurs. of each month....4913 NE 22nd. Portland, Or. 97211
