Sorry to be missing ..... it was just too hot here to be useful in any way. My eyeballs were melting, and I was not in a very good mood. To remedy that, H. and I went to Portland to visit some friends and soak up some cool weather! We soaked! and we ate some FAB. food, and saw such wonderful art. I felt so at home there. It was actually hard to come home except that I missed my cats.It was also kind of special trip because our friends are expecting their first child. I have known Joanne since first grade, and we just shared our last child-less summer together.  It was so special to be there for a bit and see her body changing, and looking at baby things, and coming up with baby names..
We went to see artist vending at "last Thursday" - an event held on the last Thurs. of each month. Great stuff, I actually got a tiny painting and some other goodies. Also, found a place called Nest near "last Thursday"- a woman's home and she turns her driveway into a shop on last Thursday and sells all these home things and very cute Birdie things. I got some stuff there too. I am all inspired creatively... and trying to figure out how to get back to Portland soon!! Here is a pic of Harry with his left over food from Montage.... They made a giraffe out of tinfoil....love it.

Housefairyparis_1This is an just finished Fairie House- a Paris fairie that I am sending off to a friend. Sorry for the yellow background. I have no photo styling ability.... What you can't see in this pic. is a background of vintage postage stamps, and typewriter keys that spell out Paris. I hope she likes it. :)

Sous Le Soleil

We held Sous Le Soleil ( under the sun ) artist sale yesterday. Whew! I heard the temp. got to 105. Yup, we were hot and sweaty, but overall it went really well. All the artist were super nice, and the people who ventured out into the heat were very nice- we all decided to do it again in cooler weather- near the holidays. This is the 2nd. event that I have planned, but the first one at my home so I was a little nervous. I almost sold out of my felted bunnies, and I sold all but one of the tin fairy houses, and I sold a few of the mini quilts. It was great!  In other news, I got accepted to do Bazaar Bizarre at the Shrine in Dec. I am so excited. I really didn't think I would get accepted- so I am kind of on cloud 9 right now. I gotta go make some felted bunnies now!!

sorry no pictures today :(

my favorite nephew

My favorite nephew wearing my grandfather's,his great grandfather's Navel uniform top and hat. I was amazed how well they fit him... I didn't realize that my grandfather was such a tiny guy...I highly doubt that my grandfather wore pink slippers while on deck though.
